The Oregon Ducks secured a dramatic 17-14 victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday night, October 17, 2026, after quarterback Dylan Raiola delivered a decisive touchdown pass in the final seconds of the college football matchup in Eugene, Oregon.

Raiola, who spent two seasons playing for Nebraska before transferring to Oregon during the offseason, entered the game in the fourth quarter with the Ducks trailing 14-6. His late-game performance helped Oregon overcome the deficit and secure an important Big Ten victory.

With just 28 seconds remaining, Raiola connected with Jamari Johnson on a four-yard touchdown pass into the back of the end zone. The successful two-point conversion that followed put Oregon ahead 17-14, completing a remarkable comeback against Raiola’s former team.

The Ducks initially appeared to have scored another touchdown when Raiola found Dakorien Moore with a four-yard pass with 33 seconds remaining. However, the play was overturned following a video review. Oregon responded immediately, with Raiola finding Johnson for the decisive score.

Nebraska had controlled much of the contest and held Oregon’s offence to limited production during the first three quarters. The Cornhuskers opened the scoring late in the second quarter when quarterback Anthony Colandrea connected with Kwazi Gilmer for a touchdown.

Colandrea later extended Nebraska’s advantage with a six-yard rushing touchdown near the end of the third quarter, giving the visitors a 14-6 lead.

Oregon struggled to establish its offence for much of the evening. The Ducks recorded only 91 total yards before Raiola replaced third-string quarterback Brock Turner. Turner had completed nine of 20 passes for 54 yards and thrown an interception.

Raiola completed 11 of 18 passes for 59 yards during the fourth quarter. Although his passing numbers were modest, his leadership during the decisive final drive proved crucial. Oregon also relied on field goals to remain within reach before its late offensive breakthrough.

Nebraska quarterback Colandrea finished with 164 passing yards, one passing touchdown and 33 rushing yards, including a rushing score. Despite his contribution, the Cornhuskers were unable to maintain their advantage during the final quarter.

Oregon outscored Nebraska 11-0 in the fourth quarter, completing a comeback that left the Cornhuskers disappointed after controlling much of the game. The Ducks improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten play, while Nebraska fell to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in conference competition.

Oregon’s regular starting quarterback, Dante Moore, remained unavailable after sustaining a concussion during the team’s September 26 victory over USC.

For Raiola, the victory carried additional significance because it came against the programme where he previously played. His late touchdown connection with Johnson transformed a difficult night for Oregon into a memorable comeback win, while Nebraska was left to reflect on another fourth-quarter setback.
